Removing Hair Lines

I always remove the hair lines on my vinyl dolls. This not
only makes it a little bit easier to root the hair, but it
also looks great after the hair is rooted. Here's what I do:
*Sand
the hairlines with a dremmel tool. (I got mine at Sears for
about $30.00
*Use Goof-Off to remove the remaining hair paint on the head
*Go ahead and remove the paint on the rest of the face and
limbs then wash all the vinyl parts (see the instructions
on 'Removing factory paint and cleaning doll') Dry the vinyl
with a towell and/or air dry.
*Add a tiny bit of baby oil all over the head; just enough
to make the head look like the same color as the face, but
not drenched. Try not to get the oil on the face.
Now
when you do the color-wash and blushing on the face, you can
also do it to the head, and it will be a similar color because
of the oil you applied to the head. If you do not take the
step to apply the oil to the head, then the head will be a
lighter color than the face.
